About the role

PetDesk is in need of a Full Stack Software Developer for its Product Engineering team.  The Full Stack Developer is responsible for developing products and features for the PetDesk suite of applications.  In this position, you will work closely with your development team of engineers, product managers, designers, and quality assurance testers to meet company and team goals.

  • Design and build scalable and well thought out web applications and services to promote happy, healthy pets
  • Collaborate with your peers and technical leaders to employ best practices, patterns and find optimal solutions
  • Work closely with the Product and Design teams to create beautiful, responsive, accessible interfaces, user experiences and translate UI/UX design wireframes to actual code
  • Help bridge the gap between graphic design and technical implementation
  • Ensuring websites are accessible across many platforms, including laptops and smartphones

About you

  • 3+ years of professional development experience producing web applications and/or APIs
  • Expertise in building accessible, responsive UIs with HTML and CSS
  • Highly-proficient with JavaScript and modern front end frameworks (e.g. React, Angular, Vue, etc)
  • Strong foundation with modern server-side languages (preference for C#/.NET)
  • Communicates and coordinates well with teammates.  Experience working in Agile environments like SCRUM is a plus.
  • Experienced with relational databases and SQL query writing and tuning
  • Good understanding of SEO
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while achieving goals
