Commercial Manager - APAC

We are looking for a Commercial Manager to join our team who can provide effective and efficient management and execution support of customer contracts. You will be responsible for leading our commercial compliance management and commercial discussions with existing customers. Our customers are large government agencies upgrading to the Mark43 cloud-based public safety software platform and looking to make a consistent positive impact on their surrounding community. As a Commercial Manager, you will work closely with Mark43 leadership to understand the contractual landscape and program teams to ensure continued compliance with customer contracts, and identify pain points that may require contractual review of change requests. You will act as the commercial point of contact for our customers, and help to ensure we meet all the program requirements and milestones we’ve agreed upon in support of our program execution. 


What You’ll Do

If you were part of our team, here are some things you would have done last week:

  • Worked closely with public safety stakeholders to delivery on a contract for a one-of-a-kind enterprise level technology transformation and build strong customer relationships
  • Reviewed a customer contract to document compliance requirements and identified critical delivery dependencies
  • Developed resources for the organisation to easily reference and comply with contractual compliance requirements in easily accessible language 
  • Negotiated a large change request with a customer’s commercial team in tandem with Mark43 legal counsel
  • Updated an internal compliance checklist to ensure the project is proceeding in alignment with contractual requirements Identified commercial risks and provided solution options within contractual guidelines
  • Organised and prioritised project risks and potential mitigation measures to share with a Mark43 Program Director
  • Presented timelines for meeting project milestones and tracking of commercial compliance to Customer Executive Leadership
  • Provided input to an RFT regarding commercial terms and conditions
  • Coordinated with a cross-functional team to develop a shared set of briefing materials that document weekly project progress and blockers


What You’ll Need

We’re looking for a talented commercial manager with roughly 8 years of professional experience leading commercial negotiations and managing contractual compliance. You should have a history of maintaining strong relationships with customers and being the go-to person responsible for tracking commercial compliance. You should thrive in a fast-paced environment where attention to detail is paramount, and your organisation skills are unmatched. 

You should be comfortable taking a lead role in solving commercial issues that may arise as part of delivery and contract execution, and thrive on negotiations while having strong stakeholder management skills.

Our team is based in Sydney. This role will require you to occasionally travel to a customer site at Sydney Olympic Park but will be primarily based out of our CBD office.
