What's in it for you?

About Share A Muse.

So quick intro... I (potential CEO) want to create a social media/network site which is basically like a LinkedIn for Artists (of all kinds). I have already a good idea of how I'm going to implement and grow this business and I see huge potential in this.

I know this industry well from the side of the potential users who will be using this site as I was a struggling artist/actor myself in LA until I decided to come back up to UC Berkeley to finish my undergrad. I'm currently triple majoring in Bio, Film, and Interdisciplinary. So, in other words to most people I'll just sound like I'm "young/inexperienced". That said, I went to Hollywood and within 2 weeks I got signed with a Talent Agency (still working on getting my reels in an Indie or something), I'm learning Html, CSS, Java-script on my own and hopefully eventually I'll learn some design and Ruby.

I've actually gone through 2 developers thus far (as in they just didn't cut it for me... 1 didn't have enough time to work on this start up idea of mine and the second one turned out to be an internet troll who trolled me for 6 months... hence I'm learning development on my own)

I'm currently looking for a more or less full stack engineer who wouldn't mind working with a young entrepreneur with a passion for taking risks and seeing things through due to an insatiable appetite for attaining his vision. Anyone who can build a functional website on their own and would be willing to work together for an equity stake and no pay (I'm a college student on financial aid, so yeah...)

That said, though I'm relatively new to the start up scene don't take me for a fool. If we're going to do this I want us to interview each other and see if it's a good fit, sign appropriate NDA's as well as Equity/Company ownership/Job description agreements. And just so we're clear, you are probably not the first to try to screw me over, and probably not the last, but if you try to bullshit me, you're just screwing yourself out of the opportunity of potentially creating the next big internet based company in a newish and growing industry (new media).

Wanted.

I'll be honest, unless it's a good fit, it probably won't work, since I've gone through 2 developers already who thought they could look down on me just because I'm not over 30. That said, as an entrepreneur I'm always the optimist and also because the realist in me is saying that partnering up with an engineer (Wozniak) will help this young entrepreneur (Jobs) attain his goals a lot faster than if said entrepreneur (Jobs) tried to create a company in this new and growing industry himself.
