The Company:
DotCloud makes it simple and easy to deploy your applications to the cloud. We're a 2nd generation Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) designed from the ground up to support any combination of language, database, and middleware. With a single command, in just a few seconds your application is deployed, seamlessly running across multiple data centers. In the last 12 months we've raised $10 million in funding, grown our user-base dramatically, and consistently host tens of thousands of virtual machines.
The Role:
The JavaScript Developer converts wireframes, design mockups, and prototypes into production quality UIs. Your customers are fellow coders in the DotCloud community; they are depending on you to build the slickest, coolest, and most needed tools. Consider applying if you love rapid prototyping and all things JavaScript, and would be interested in hacking around any major JavaScript library -- Node.js, Backbone.js, Knockout.js, or Underscore.js.
Our Ideal Candidate Will:
* Be awesome with client and server-side Javascript.
* Know HTML and CSS.
* Be passionate about web standards.
* Express strong opinions.
Bonus Points For:
* GitHub account and/or open source contributor to JS projects.
* Active technical blogger.
* Enjoyment of Foosball and/or consumption of whiskey.
Stuff To Look Forward To:
* Setting the standard. DotCloud is the most sophisticated PaaS offering on the market.
* Cool projects. We're constantly prototyping, tinkering, and building new things. For example, one of our developers is giving a talk about one of our internal tools at PyCon 2012.
* Financial strength. DotCloud is backed by tier 1 investors -- Benchmark Capital, Trinity Ventures, Ron Conway, and many more!
* Growth opportunities. We have a lot of projects in the works, and we'd love for you to be able to grow into one of our leadership roles.
* Perks:
- Benefits, paid time off, stock options
- Team lunches and company trips
- A full pantry complete with delicious coffee
