We’re looking to add a systems administration whiz to our existing experienced development group. You will be working with and reporting to our IT Director to help maintain and update Collecta’s servers on Amazon EC2.

Responsibilities:
* support and maintain virtual server instances on Amazon EC2.
* respond to server alerts.
* assist development team.

Things we’re looking for:
* extensive experience with Unix/Linux systems and remote administration.
* excellent written communication skills, ability to document procedures and share with other team members.
* some development/scripting experience.
* self-motivated, able to maintain a regular schedule and be on-call to answer alerts from servers

Bonus points for:
* Experience configuring and maintaining high availability, mission critical server environments.
* Ruby or Python chops.
* Participation in open source projects – tell us about it.
* Previous experience in a distributed team.
* Amazon EC2 or other cloud computing experience.
* Experience with Chef, Puppet or other similar automation tool.
* Experience with Git for source control.
* Ability to juggle.
